Alles op een rijtje // Thoughts in order





De vogels fluiten uit volle borst, je ziet de bladeren en de bloesems openspringen: het is lente!
Gisteren was het ook supermooi weer. Je krijgt dan zo'n gevoel van "nog even en het is zomer.."


Maart was hectisch. En heftig. Naar aanleiding van het bellen naar een psycholoog heb ik ook gesprekken op mijn werk gehad om te kijken waar we wat uit mijn stapel werk kunnen halen. Tot nu weet ik nog niks, maar ik weet wel dat de gesprekken zelf al voor wat rust hebben gezorgd. Aan de andere kant ben ik moe, zo moe.

Nog even en dan laat ik mijn 6vwo leerlingen los en zie ik ze pas als ze achter hun tafeltjes zitten voor een spannend moment: het eindexamen. Heel spannend allemaal en aan de ene kant vind ik het zo leuk dat ik ze daar naar toe breng maar aan de andere kant zie ik op tegen de berg werk die het met zich  meebrengt en de superstrakke deadlines. Eep.

Ik probeer het zoveel mogelijk van me af te zetten en geniet van kleine momentjes. En krijg gelukkig veel knuffels.

En ik haak, ik naai en ik lees. Als mijn hoofd er naar staat pak ik iets er bij en ik relax.... Volgende week komt er sowieso een nieuw patroon! Voor Kathelijne ga ik ze ook haken, maar dan van Opal sokkenwol die ik al netjes in twee cakejes heb gesplits.

Ook ben ik rustig aan de plannen voor de nieuwe MCAL in mijn hoofd aan het sorteren :) Ik denk dat ik het voor deze MCAL over een heel andere boeg ga gooien :)

Lieve mensen, dank jullie wel voor alle lieve berichtjes van de afgelopen weken, ze doen me goed :)

The birds are chirping loud, the blossom flowers are popping open: it's Spring!
Everything plantlike or animal like is starting to get more lively, and yesterday it was such beautiful weather. A few more weeks and then it will feel like summer already I think,

Looking back to last month I can only say that March was a very hectic month. I decided to call a psychologist and had a few talks with my supervisors at work about my work load. I already feel helped but I know there is a huge monster coming that I need to tackle: the GCSE.

In a few weeks I will cut the umbilical cord connected to my students (haha) and they will prepare for their final test...And for me that time of the year will start with a huge amount of papers and a very tight deadline. Not looking forward to it if I'm honest.

I try to sit and let go. I do get a lot of cuddles and support..

And I crochet, I sew and I read. Those are my tiny moments of zen. Next week I will publish a new pattern! I will make the same legwarmes for Kathelijne in her size with two yummy Opal sock yarn that I've already wound in two yarn cakes.

I am also materializing the ideas in my head for the new summer MCAL. I am going to do it differently this summer, so keep your eyes open for hints!
